Causality, quantum fields, and the geometry of time.
The physics program tests the edges of general relativity and quantum
field theory: chronology protection on exact time machines, explicit
initial data for a composite machine, a BEC analogue, and the
gravitational-wave and Gaia searches for a natural relic.
Hawking's chronology protection loses its force on the Ori time machine. The full image-series tensor gives a negative image-direction eigenvalue that follows the Misner law on approach, then the local eikonal horizon cuts it off at a finite, negligible level.
Xavier's vacuum traveling-wave metric admits a switchable quotient, but the closed null generator carries the same epsilon-to-the-minus-two and epsilon-to-the-minus-four singularity as Misner. A sector-level structure and discriminator paper.
An explicit composite initial-data construction: vacuum pp-wave core, umbilical slice, dust envelope, and a verified hand-off to Ori outer layers. The full-layer retune makes both gates positive, with an ordinary-density regime at depth that is a certified scaling extrapolation.
A design study of a BEC analogue of the Misner image-sum mechanism. The 314 micrometre image needs about 0.08 nK and the 157 micrometre antipodal correlation about 0.16 nK; B3 to B6 remain open and B1, B2, B7, B8 and B9 are fixed, so it is not a ready proposal.
The matter in a boost-holonomy time machine can be assembled, but the identification cannot be manufactured by the known classical routes. The paper maps the three acquisition routes and states the 3+1 proof gap.
The engineering ledger for a time machine: mass and density rungs, the wrap, siting at 0.008 to 0.12 AU, and the resource class of an acquired relic. The wrap is asteroid-industry scale; the survey is civilization-scale.
A critical review of the time-travel program: chronology protection, constructive machines, the quantum stress computations, the relic searches, and the acquisition and engineering ledger.
A boost-holonomy relic leaves an exact mass-scaling signature in gravitational waves. The corrected catalog and posterior cuts return a null, with 82 of 120 Stage-3 pairs surviving and a shared-base cluster at p = 1.000.
The completed full-sky Gaia radial-velocity pair census finds no significant signal. The family statistic is calibrated against a composition-matched null: permissive p = 0.737, strict p = 0.969.
